Students of the LEA Kawo primary school in Kaduna state are currently staging a protest in the state over the sack of some of their teachers by the Kaduna state government. Recall that last month, the state government carried out a competency test for teachers in the public service and over 21,000 of the teachers failed the primary four questions given to them.
The pupils are demanding that their teachers be reinstated. They say they would not be returning to school until their teachers are reinstated. Watch a clip of the protesting pupils below
