'I hope my statue in Imo will inspire women and girls in Nigeria and Africa' Liberian president, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, says


Liberian President, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, says it is her belief that her statue that was built by Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha, and unveiled yesterday, will serve as an inspiration to young girls and women in Nigeria and Africa that they can reach their potential. The Harvard graduate who is the first female president in Africa while acknowledging the statue after its unveiling, said 
 “I hope that this statue and the other honors I received today, would serve as a great aspiration to the young girls, to the women, to know that we can reach our potentials. We can achieve our dreams. We can stand tall among the many women of the world in providing the kind of exemplary leadership that will lift us up to stand, as I stand to represent women”.
