Saraki, Dogara, others reportedly denied access into the presidential villa to see President Buhari

Saraki, Dogara, others reportedly denied access into the presidential villa to see President Buhari

Senate President Bukola Saraki, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara and some principal officers of the National Assembly were this evening reportedly turned back from the state house in Abuja after being denied entry by the security personnel manning the seat of power.

Punch reports that the National Assembly leaders who were at the villa to discuss the 2018 appropriation bill with President Buhari, left the statehouse gate angrily after they were turned back. It was gathered that the lawmakers met at Saraki’s house and left for the villa in a white coaster bus.
An aide of one of the lawmakers while narrating what transpired said the lawmakers got angry after the Chief Security Officer to President Buhari insisted on doing a security search on each of the law makers. Seeing that the Chief Security Officer would not shift his position, the lawmakers entered their vehicle and zoomed off.
