BREAKING! The President Buhari Government has filed a case asking the courts to compel all Nigerian banks

The President Buhari Government has filed a case asking the courts to compel all Nigerian banks to reveal details of all accounts and monies held in such accounts (corporate and private) that are not covered by a BVN.

The FG is also seeking an order to then seize all monies in accounts (corporate and private) not covered by a BVN.

Justice Dimgba has granted the FG an interim order to compel the banks to release the information to the government, and also granted an interim order compelling details of such accounts to be published in the national media giving owners of such accounts 14 days to claim ownership and show why their money should not be permanently forfeited to the Government.
