"Ikoyi Billions whistleblower's life could be in danger": Human rights activist, Chidi Odinkalu disputes EFCC claims that whistleblower will get N325m reward

"Ikoyi Billions whistleblower

Human rights activist, Chidi Odinkalu has disputed the claims that the whistleblower who led the Economic and Financial Crimes Commision (EFCC) to the $1.6m apartment in Ikoyi, Lagos where they recovered the sums of $43,449,947, £27,800 and N23,218,000 earlier this year may reportedly be paid N325 million.
Odinkalu, who is the former Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission, NHRC, took to Twitter to make some allegations shortly after it was revealed that the whistleblower will be rewarded. He said that on the contrary, the whistleblower has been persecuted and "he's suffered serial detention in 3 different institutions". He went on to say that the life of the whistleblower could be in danger.
'The claim by @officialEFCC chair, Magu that Ikoyi Billions #Whistleblower "is now a millionaire" is verifiably false,' Odinkalu wrote.
