Everyone jubilated day I had an erection on sickbed –Yinka Ayefele

Everyone knows Yinka Ayefele became famous after he survived an accident that almost ended his life on December 12, 1997. What most people don’t know is that doctors had concluded that he would never be able to perform sexually again.

Celebrating 20 years after the nightmarish accident, Ayefele told Sunday Scoop that on the day he first had an erection while he was in the hospital, everyone became ecstatic.

He said, “After the accident, everyone jubilated when I had an erection one afternoon.  I was wondering why they were rejoicing and they told me the doctors said I would not be able to have an erection again. They had reached the conclusion without my knowledge.”

He admitted that life would have become meaningless had he not regained the ability to have an erection.

But even in the midst of the trouble, he never reasoned that his girlfriend, who later became his wife, would forsake him.

He reacted, “She didn’t leave me when I was hospitalised, so why would she leave me afterwards? When things were bad, she was with me all through.  We got married after the accident and we are blessed with four boys.”

He stressed that he had stopped bothering himself about people who still believe the accident might have rendered him impotent even though he confessed that in the past, such things bothered him.

He recalled, “I can still remember my response to a journalist who wanted to be sure I could impregnate a woman. I told him to bring his sister if he wanted a confirmation. It used to be embarrassing when people questioned my sexual ability.

“Even if I am unable to make love to a woman, should that make them happy? Even if my wife and I opted for IVF, is it something they should gloat about?”

20 years after, Ayefele still feels pains and said he has decided to stop taking pills because he fears that it may affect his kidney or liver.

He explained further, “I am still feeling pains; I am always in pain every day. Pills cannot even stop the pains and I am conscious of what I take in, but I thank God I have been able to cope. I give thanks to God for sparing my life.

“I personally thought I would die, but my parents and loved ones encouraged me to stay alive. They felt bad, but they didn’t want to lose me. My father was alive then, but I lost him two years ago. He was so supportive all through the trying times.”

Recalling the circumstances that confined him to the wheelchair, he said, “I was on my way to Abeokuta, but I lost control of the car because it rained heavily that day. The car fell into a deep pit. I was taken to a nearby hospital, but they couldn’t handle my case because I was vomiting blood. I was taken to another hospital where it was discovered that I had a spinal cord injury.

“I was then transferred to the University College Hospital, Ibadan, where I stayed for almost a year before I was discharged. Much later, I raised funds and travelled to the United Kingdom, for specialised treatment.”

Tales of "Defined" Justice/Right By Itsede Kingsley Okhai, Esq

I'm a product of Lagos State University, and if one must talk about religion injustice,  Lagos State University, particularly Faculty of Law, is a classical example. So much to talk about but of most prominence is the line up of Courses we were made to learn. This hasn't changed till date.

In my first year, Islamic Law was made compulsory for both Christians and Muslims. We all took the Course because we had no choice. The rule was that it's either you take the course or you drop out. To make it more deadly,  it's the only Course that was 4 units. All other Courses, including Nigeria Legal Method were 2 units. The implication is that, if you fail the Course,  there is a high tendency that you may drop out. So,  the helpless Christians were made to study Islamic Law Course so hard, and in this way, were forced to learn Islamic principles which is against their faith.

As a rule, if you mention the name of the prophet,  you must add "Praise Be Unto Him". Our lecturer warned us that anyone who attempts his exam questions without this indication stands a risk of failing the Course. It was "adhere or you fail".

In 200 level, the only elective Course made available by my institution was Islamic Transaction Law.  And the system is designed in a way that you must pick at least one elective Course to complete your units for the session,  otherwise,  you risk a chance of been withdrawn for under registration.

We were "compulsorily" made to learn a subject that's against our faith as Christians, an act which is clearly in breach of our fundamental right as eshrined in the Constitution,  the same law those against the Body of Benchers are canvassing. I remember how my lecturer rebuked me for daring to raise such issue. Heaven didn't fall!

Some of my able lecturers and colleagues who are running this campaign online now supervised this act against us (with utmost respect sirs). They didn't remember the very right they are canvassing. The policy was against Christians and since Christians are not humans,  they have no such constitutional right.

Even as I write,  the situation is the same in my alma mater.  Christians are still technically forced to study Islamic Law. Again,  heaven is not falling. No one is talking about it.

I was going to tag some of my lecturers here but I suspect they may feel embarrassed. I know they are reading this. And so wish to pass this message.

If they feel not allowing  Muslim sisters to wear hijab for 2 hours is against their fundamental right,  what do they have to say about forcing the Christian faithfuls in LASU law faculty to learn Islamic principles for 2 years? Do we have two sets of Constitution governing us?

By the wordings of the Constitution,  the right not to be forced to learn principles against one's faith is almost absolute and as such,  the Christians in faculty of law,  Lagos State University have more beautiful fight than the lady whose religion excesses were curtailed. How come we overlook the one whose right is almost absolute and are weeping over the one whose right is subjective?

We must learn not to create unnecessary tension in this country. I'm not a religion bigot. I'm only raising these issues to balance the equation. Justice,  equity and fairness is all we seek.

If we must talk about the Body of Benchers,  we must also talk about the injustice in my LASU!

Police – “How alleged killer wife Maryam’s mum, brother, house help tried to hide evidence”

The Nigerian Police Force, yesterday, alleged before an Abuja High Court at Jabi that family members of Maryam Sanda, wife of the murdered son of erstwhile Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Bilyamin Bello, attempted to hide evidence against her.
Police, in an amended two-count charge it filed before the court, alleged that Maryam’s mother, Maimuna Aliyu and her brother, Aliyu Sanda, upon realizing that an offence of culpable homicide was committed, “did cause evidence of the offence to disappear”.
It said the duo, with the help of one Sadiya Aminu, carefully cleaned the blood from the scene of the crime with the intention of screening the 1st defendant, Maryam from legal punishment.
According to the prosecution, the three persons involved in the scrubbing-off of murdered Bilyamin’s blood, by their action, committed an offence punishable under section 167 of the Penal Code Law. Consequently, Police re-arraigned Maryam alongside her mother, brother, and Aminu, before trial Justice Yusuf Halilu yesterday.
Whereas Maryam was in the count-one of the charge marked CR/15/17, which Police filed pursuant to section 109(d) of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015, was accused of stabbing her husband to death with a broken bottle on November 19 at their Abuja residence. The three others were in count-two, charged with causing evidence of the crime to disappear. The prosecution told the court that Bilyamin died as a result of several stabs on his chest and neck.
Police maintained that the defendant attacked her husband with the knowledge that her act was likely to cause his death. Meanwhile, all the defendants pleaded not guilty to the charge, even as they begged the court through their lead counsel, Mr. J.B. Daudu, SAN, to release them on bail pending the determination of the case against them.
While Daudu, SAN, stressed that allegation against Maryam’s family members was a bailable one, he pleaded the court to consider the well-being of the 1st defendant’s six-month-old baby and grant her bail pending the trial. Besides, the defence lawyer tendered a medical certificate he said showed that Maryam was suffering from a serious ailment.
He told the court that all the defendants were anxious for the trial to commence so that they could establish their innocence. However, in his ruling, Justice Halilu declined to release the alleged ‘killer wife’ on bail. The Judge ordered that she should remain in Suleja prison until February 5, 2018, when a full-blown hearing was scheduled to begin in the case.
Justice Halilu held that the defence lawyer failed to place sufficient material before the court to show that the undisclosed ailment the 1st defendant was suffering from could not be treated in prison. Nevertheless, the court granted bail to the three other defendants, saying they must, however, produce two sureties each. The court held that the sureties must show evidence that they are resident within the Abuja city center, as well as deposit title deed of their landed properties.
Besides, the defendants were asked to surrender all their traveling documents to the court. It will be recalled that the court had on November 24, remanded Maryam in prison after she was arraigned on a two-count charge of culpable homicide punishable by death under section 221 of the Penal Code Law.

A Confession of 25-year-old former cultist – “Why I killed for politicians”

Political killings in cold blood – those were the kinds of job that 25-year-old Godwin and his gang members used to be engaged in before he called it quits. Today, he is no more killing for politicians. In fact, he is angry with them and would not want to take up such bloody job offer anymore, no matter how much you want to pay him. As Korede Bello sang in his hit song, “Godwin,” God now has the upper hands in Godwin’s life.
Journey into the world of cultism
Sharing the testimony of how he got in and out of the killer gang at a revival programme organized recently by The Lord’s Chosen Church, founded by Pastor Lazarus Muoka, Godwin attributed his “deliverance” to the prayers of his mother and the mercy of God.
Godwin, an indigene of Omoma Local Government Area in Rivers State, said he used to be a brilliant schoolboy, and was well on his way to becoming a marine engineer, his life ambition, when fate pulled a fast one on him by aborting the dream through his involvement in cult and cultism.
In fact, he was one of the brilliant students his then school principal had in mind to recommend to Shell Oil Company for scholarship to institutions of higher learning. Unfortunately, it was at that point he was lured into the cult by a classmate whose life was in danger, for failing to undergo the cult’s initiation rites, because of his asthmatic illness. He was then asked to bring a replacement to save his life. The placement turned out to be his bosom friend, Godwin.
According to Godwin, the young man was asthmatic and the cult members could not initiate him but requested he gets somebody else before they could release him. So he came for him and that was how he became involved in the cult.
The first born in a family of three, he revealed that he joined the cult while in SSS 3. Then based in Port Harcourt where he used to live, he later moved to Bayelsa State where he grew through the ranks and later became the “Lord and Master” of the club/cult.
During the first attempt on him to join the club, he was offered N200, 000 but he refused. But on January 2, 2009, as he went outside the school premises to buy drug he met two men waiting outside the school gate in a car. The moment he made to pass them, they came out, reached out, grabbed him and forcibly pushed him into the car and drove off at a breakneck speed, while pointing a gun at his head. At the end of the journey, they took him to their lodge where they threatened to kill him if he refused their offer to join the club willy-nilly.
Fearing for his dear life, he readily agreed and they immediately started the process of initiation in a gruesome manner by chopping off the third finger on his right hand.
Then they put underneath the bleeding finger a native pot with which they collected the blood gushing out of his hand. Next, they mixed it with gin and gave to everybody including Godwin to drink as a proof of covenant/pact he’s entered into with the cult.
For three days, he did not return home but was held at the lodge. This got his mother worried. But he was more than compensated for the loss and pain he endured when while leaving he was given N1 million naira. With the money, he went on a shopping spree for the first time in his life. On getting home his surprised mother questioned him intently on the source of the money he used in buying the items that he brought home. When he couldn’t give her convincing answer, his mother, a strong Christian, decided to distance herself from what she saw as his ill-gotten wealth. But she ceased not to pray for his repentance and conversion.
Encounters and experiences that shaped his life
Barely a year after he was trained on how to use a gun he went on his first operation with the gang, in which they were paid to wipe out the family of a Rivers State politician from Abonema. According to his testimony, after killing the man and his son, he pointed his gun at the man’s wife, intending to snuff the life out of her. At that moment, the image of his mother suddenly appeared in his mind and he became weak, pulled back the gun and left.
In the second operation, there was a shoot-out with security operatives, and, out of the 12 members of the gang that were involved in the mission which took place in a swampy area where none of them knew how to negotiate their way through by swimming, only Godwin survived.
But at the hospital where he was being treated for bullet wounds that he falsely claimed to have sustained from an armed robbery attack, the doctor, on discovering some inconsistencies in his story, called in police detectives. Upon closer questioning, they discovered that he was one of the armed bandits that escaped from an operation some time ago.
He was immediately arrested, placed in police custody and later charged to court after he fully recovered. Originally sentenced to 14 years in jail, he spent one year and one month before politicians behind his escapades got a law court judge to grant him a parole.
Making of charms and the Indian mystic angle
On coming back out of jail, he was made the number one man of the gang. At this stage, he decided to go for ‘spiritual fortification’ by arming himself with charms that will make it possible for him to target police officers and politicians without being hurt or killed.
To this end, he was linked with an Indian mystic who demanded N20 million from him before he could prepare such charms for him. As he did not have such amount of money anywhere, he contacted a popular politician (names withheld) who gave him the money and he paid.
According to him, the mystic presented him with a coffin and asked him to lie in it. As he did, he suddenly found himself in India, although still wearing the same clothes he wore in Nigeria when he entered the man’s temple. Initially, he found himself inside a building, but as soon as the door was shut, the place became a forest. And inside the place was a pool of water.
He was asked to enter into it. He did but surprisingly the water did not wet either his skin or clothes. Afterward, he was given the power he so much desired but with some stringent conditions for keeping it. At the end of the rite, he was given a ring to wear as an amulet.
Among the conditions: (1) he must not eat any food cooked or prepared by a woman (2) he must not engage in a se.x act with a woman (3) he must not cross a woman’s urine. “How would you know a woman’s urine,” he asked rhetorically, “for me, it was a problem. I was told to be paying N400, 000 every month for the renewal of the charm’s potency.”
As a result of the conditions, he took to sleeping from one hotel to another but he was not sleeping with the prostitutes he met there, nor eating anything cooked by a woman. Instead, he took to buying noodles from Mallams and cooking and eating. Sometimes, he would also go to their joints to drink tea with bread they are selling. He did not drink sachet water so that he would not come in contact with a woman. Rather, he used a plastic bottle to fetch tap water which he drank.
Godwin recalls: “After that, I had powers and money was coming to me as much as I needed because nobody could arrest me. In fact, they could not see me arrest even if they come. If we were robbing, nobody would see me. One day, when I got to a bank to open an account, I saw the Indian man following me. But nobody saw him except me. He told me that a bullion van would be leaving the bank that day at three o’clock.
So I quickly rounded off my transactions so that I could go get my gun and rob the bullion van. There was a serious traffic jam on the road. This made the bullion van to follow one way. The moment I opened fire, everybody ran helter-skelter including the policemen. That way I was able to stop the van and empty its content into the vehicle I used to block its way.”
Dirty and deadly games Nigerian politicians play
He says he’d lost count of people he killed after he acquired powers. “They were probably hundreds.” Talking about the cult, he avows the members’ job was to “assassinate people; they are paid by politicians to assassinate political opponents. Once they are on a mission they accomplish their mission.” He says of the cult founded in 1999 that, “when any politician calls them on any mission they quickly respond.”
Today, Godwin who claims to be born again after an angel reportedly appeared to him in a dream and warned him to quit the business and surrender his life to God, confesses that he hates politicians with a passion. “The cult was established because of the politicians,” he insists.
“They use Nigerian youths to kill innocent Nigerians for sacrifice and at the end of the day, they (politicians) would donate N500, 000 to the families of any of the members of the gang who lost his life in the process. The money they give to the family of our deceased members would still go back to them by spiritual means. I am coming from there, so I know what games politicians play when it comes to matters of money.”

GBAM: LETTER TO ATIKU... BY A DISSATISFIED NIGERIAN.

You are a symbol of the past failures and the politically corrupt in Nigeria.

With all due respect, therefore, I, on behalf of millions of Nigerians want to remind you that you should shut up when we are discussing anti-corruption challenges and the way forward.

I laughed cynically when I heard you brag that you would “shock everyone because you will fight corruption …if given the opportunity to preside over the affairs of the country.”

You challenged Nigerians to either “come forward with a single shred of evidence of [your] misconduct while in office or keep quiet.”

Crude arrogance! You subsequently bragged that your stupendous wealth was a result of your “resourcefulness and successful investments.”

What a lie! To use your own words, that display of arrogance was “morally offensive” to millions of Nigerians.

Please, sir, accept my apologies, but the issue is not about your “entrepreneurial spirit” but whether you can corroborate the SOURCE of your investments and wealth.

Sir, you are not more resourceful than millions of Nigerians, and thousands of investors with hard-earned and traceable source of wealth.

So, sir, take your sermon of rooting out corruption in Nigeria to the sedimentary rocks in the valley of Adamawa Highlands.

Tell us what happened to the N7.5 B failed Chochi Dam project which u brought the contractor and supervised the project.

What happened to the Jada Federal Government communication project awarded by Obasanjo under ur supervision which N4.5 Billion went into a failed project.

Tell Nigerians how u took a loan from Bank PHB in 1998 of N300M to run for Governorship of Adamawa, when u were controversially declared the winner and after becoming the VP the bank cancelled the loan.

We have documented evidence of this loan, when you took this loan Bamanga Tukur was one of the richest people in the North East with two shipping vessels on the high seas, but just after 8 years as VP u not only became the richest in Adamawa and one of the richest in Nigeria but u built 158 mansions in the country and 42 mosques in Christian dominated areas of Adamawa State the sitting and construction of some of these mosques created several crisis killing thousands of people and dethroning a First Class king.

As a show of good faith, sir, can you please explain to Nigerians how a retired Customs officer and VP, you, got the millions of Dollars, without a bank loan, you paid to the American University in Washington DC for a direct license to use the franchise of the university?

We know that your estimated $25 million worth of University (ABTI American University) in Yola was not just because you were resourceful.

What is the source of the inexplicable reason for your increased wealth after 8 years as VP?

Accept my apologies sir, but can you explain to Nigerians the source of hundreds of multi-million Naira mansions, mostly built on what Nigerians believe to be proceeds of corruption?

What of the $125m you diverted from the Petroleum Trust Development Fund (PTDF)?

Can you please, sir; explain to Nigerians how you managed to command controlling shares in Bank PHB, controlling shares in Intel, and oil services companies operating in many African countries?

If you are as smart and intelligent as you want Nigerians to believe, then it will not be difficult to break down the source of your wealth.

Believe me, there are millions of Nigerians out there that are more resourceful than you that will be turned into billionaires overnight if only you can show us your magic wand.

So, without explaining the source of your wealth, it is an insult to ask us to provide evidence that you are chronically corrupt. The burden of proof is on you, sir.

How can Nigeria move forward, when we are hamstrung by symbols of past failures, like you Atiku?

Let me remind those still living in the graveyards of yesteryears of what you sir, represents.

Your mere presence in Nigerian politics reminds us of the era of fire-breathing monsters that plundered the national wealth.

Sir, your administration with Obasanjo represents a government of the ugly and predators.

Under you, and Obasanjo, corruption was so sweet and so exquisite that the political class fell over themselves to worship the mini gods in Aso Rock.

Accept my apologies, sir, but Nigerians have not forgotten that under you and Obasanjo, our yesteryears were locust-infested.

When you fought corruption with Obasanjo, we had wretched criminals that grew the size of their stomachs and pockets from “Turn Around Maintenance” of our refineries and under-selling of government entities to cronies.

Under you, and Obasanjo, we had ministers and thieves that were busy acquiring properties worth billions while our infrastructures decayed.

Sir, you are a woodpecker that feed on the pantry of the poor, but found a way to avoid having boils in your mouth.

The same mouth you are now using to insult us and bragging about how clean you are in amassing wealth in the midst of poverty in your backyard.

Atiku, sir, your ambition, therefore, deserves to be killed now.

It is time for you to retire from public life, disappear from facebook, Twitter, political screens, and sight somewhere far away.

Sir, when you drive around the hills and valleys of Adamawa Highland, are you not worried about the difference between your fortunes and that of the poor masses you represented?

Nigerians believe that corruption is a bigger threat than insecurity in your backyard in Northeastern Nigeria.

Fighting corruption in good faith will heal the wounds of millions of Nigerians adversely affected over many decades.

Unfortunately, sir, until you explain to us how you amassed your wealth, you are not the right man to lead Nigeria.

The stories surrounding the cancellation, the legality or illegality of the contract between Intels and its subsidiaries with Nigerian Port Authority (NPA) is an indication that your greed is finally catching up with you.

For me, that deal is like the rest of the dubious investments you are now flaunting, all of which is a textbook example of how crooked bureaucrats like you amass wealth through cronyism and graft.

So, accept my apologies.

You, like your boy the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, represent the dangerously corrupt political elites in Nigeria.

As you make an attempt at the Nigerian Presidency for the umpteenth time, know it that your reckless shame has expired.

The period from 1999 to 2017 is gone, even though the mess you and Obasanjo left behind is still hunting Nigerians.

Sir, I love you, but, until we begin to challenge serving and former civil servants and public office holders like you that cannot explain how they acquired so much wealth, we cannot really claim to be fighting corruption.

Shed some light on the source of every Kobo of your shadowed investments and businesses and shame the people you refer to as “political enemies”.

While I wait for your explanation, know it that I will be the first to raise my hand and campaign for you if you will satisfactorily demonstrate the source of your wealth the way you explain to a 3-year old that 1 + 1 = 2.

I say this with as a much respect as I can muster, hoping that you will disgrace me with verifiable proof.

Until you do that, sir, you should shut up and bow your head in shame, if there is still any left, when Nigerians are talking about the serious business of fighting corruption.

I’m George Udom and I endorse this message

Cristiano Ronaldo Demands Lawyers To Negotiate Real Madrid Exit....Details Here

Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly toldhis lawyers to get to work over an exit from Real Madrid after Florentino Perez’s recent comments.

The Portugal star is known for wanting to be the main man at the club and the presidents claim recently caught him a big off guard it seems.

Those comments come in the form of Neymar and a potential move for the Brazilian.

“Being in Madrid would make it easier to win the Ballon d’Or,” Perez explained.

“Real Madrid is a club which gives all you need as a big player, everyone knows that I already wanted to sign him at one point.”

That hasn’t gone down well with Cristiano, who has already made his feelings on Neymar clear to the club.

Ronaldo is reportedly refusing to play for the club if the Brazilian is brought in after reports claimed they could move for the PSG star.

That has meant that the club are having to put off their plans for signing Neymar until they know that Ronaldo could wind down his career.

Though, the reports today suggest they are willing to move ahead without his blessing, which has seen Ronaldo demand an exit.

Whether he gets his way is yet to be seen but the reports suggest he has set his Lawyers on the case.

Time will tell if the player is set to leave the Bernabeu and if so, where he is headed.

Antonio Conte Could Leave Chelsea Anytime, He Is Not Happy - Steven Gerrard

Steven Gerrard doesn’t get the impression that Antonio Conte will be at Chelsea much longer.

Chelsea bounced back from their shock defeat to West Ham at the weekend with a dominant 3-1 win over Huddersfield last night.

Tiemoue Bakayoko, Willian and Pedro grabbed the goals to move Chelsea level on points with Manchester United but they still remain 11 points behind Manchester City with both clubs to play this evening.

It’s looking increasingly likely Chelsea will not be able to defend their title from last season and Conte admitted earlier this week that he thinks the race is already over.

He has repeatedly cut a frustrated figure this season, aiming jibes at the club over their transfer business in the summer.

And while Liverpool legend Gerrard believes Conte will be backed to bring in the players he wants next month, he isn't sure how long Conte will remain at Stamford Bridge.

“I think he’ll get the support he wants or needs,” Gerrard said on BT Sport.

“If he’s saying to the people above that he needs two or three players then I’m sure they’ll deliver them for him.

“I just get the impression that at any given time he could just walk out.

Antonio Conte has often criticised the club for not recruiting more players in the summer.

“I don’t know why but he never seems totally happy to me.

He added: “It was a great win tonight but he’s not smiling.

“It still seems there’s something behind the scenes that’s upsetting him. That’s the impression I get.”
